Advertising Disclosure
When a farm advisor names a seed supplier, a soil laboratory or a make of hive, you are entitled to know whether the name was earned or paid for. This page says where money touches Open Field Haven and where it does not, based on what is in the pages you are reading.
In short
Open Field Haven earns its income from the fees for its own sessions, listed on the offers page. This site contains no affiliate links, no commission arrangements, no sponsored content and no advertising or tracking tags.
1. Affiliate links and commissions
- Links: the site links only to its own pages, to an email address and to a phone number. There is not a single outbound link to a shop, a supplier or a marketplace, so there is nothing that could pay us a commission.
- Names in our plans: when a written plan lists a seed source, a soil-testing service or a hive supplier, it is there because it suits Hokkaido conditions and is within reach of the client, not because we are paid.
- If it changes: any affiliate link added in future will be marked next to the link itself, with the word “affiliate” or “sponsored” in the link markup as well, and this page will be updated first.
2. Sponsored content and gifts
- Paid placement: nothing on the site was written, shown or ranked because someone paid for it.
- Partners: we have no brand partnerships and no sponsors, and we show no partner logos.
- Free samples and loans: if we are ever given equipment or seed to try, we will say so wherever we mention it.
- Labelling: any future paid material would carry a plain “Advertisement” or “Sponsored” label at the top, which is what Japan's Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations expects of stealth marketing.
3. Advertising technology on this site
- Ad networks: none. The pages show no banners and load nothing from an ad server.
- Tags and pixels: none. There is no Google tag, no remarketing code and no conversion pixel in the page source.
- Cookies: none are set, as described on the Cookie Policy.
- Our own promotion: we may in future promote our sessions through paid search or other platforms. If we do, the adverts will be labelled by the platform, they will lead to the pages you can see here, and the cookie and privacy pages will be updated before any measuring tag is added to the site.
4. What you can do
- Nothing to opt out of — the site does not profile visitors, so there is no advertising setting to switch off.
- Spot a mismatch — if you ever find a tracking script or a paid link we have not disclosed, tell us and we will correct this page or remove the item.
- Your data — what we hold about you is described in the Privacy Policy.
- Fees — what a session costs is set out on the offers page and in the Commercial Transactions Notice.
